You won’t be much of a player if you can’t see, therefore you would need to have a see through barrier that both prevents bullets from entering while still providing you with a wide range of vision.

Players use full face masks or goggles that are really solid. Although this might be a hindrance to your field of vision, protecting your eyes is of utmost importance as a direct hit would surely result in blindness or any other permanent injury. It is no longer enough to wear those thin eye goggles that are often used by BMX riders as they shatter real easy and the shrapnel can go directly to your eyes. In order to ensure maximum safety, eye  goggles that are made out of the right thickness and made of the right materials, not just cheap plastic. There are also a lot more areas to cover other than the eyes. You should also watch out for hits on the head and the neck.
