Remember the first portable cassette tape players of the 80’s? What about the portable CD players of the 90’s? Looking back it is kind of amazing how fast technology evolved. It seems like companies all over the world are in the (unspoken) race of trying to out-invent and out-produce each other in the crazy bid to be the first to produce the smallest and lightest and most innovative product, ever.
Take the iPod. The mp3 player is a brand launched by Apple sometime in 2001. The iPod’s evolution from a hard drive-based model to a touch screen and a video capable portable media player is just amazing. There are plenty of copycats out there but iPod is the one to have.
Great products have “great” accessories. Apple has the passion and the obsession to continually improve their products. It is rather obvious that everyone seems to own an mp3 of some sorts – iPod or not – so to continue Apple’s quest for excellence and convenience, the company has thought of some really cool accessories for iPod.
There are basically five iPod types: the iPod classics (first generation mp3s), the iPod Nano, iPod mini, the Shuffle and the iPod video. All these products have their own set of accessories. Apple has its own line of accessories but the international market is littered with iPod accessories from other manufacturers too.
Earphones are included in an iPod kit. The basic earbud headphone is good enough for starters but once you start downloading songs or even movies in his unit, you would want better quality earphones: noise-canceling or sound-isolation headsets are available for an uninterrupted time of easy listening. Waterproof earphones? Yes, there are those too.
IPods run on tiny rechargeable batteries. To charge an iPod you need a charging dock. If a connection to stereo speakers or to a home theater is an option for you then get the proper cable jack for the iPod for those functions.
The beauty of an iPod is that you can practically take it anywhere with you. If you want the hype and jive of music while jogging or running, the ever-reliable- minds at Apple thought of iPod armbands. Just strap the iPod then go hit the road or start pumping irons in groove with your music.
Another perfect companion (and accessory) for the iPod is the portable mini speaker. Share you’re more than 4 GB music with your friends in the comfort of your home or out in the backyard or even at the beach. Some models even come with remotes.

Having saved enough money to buy that iPod made you obsessive with those little scratches that seems to have appeared out of nowhere in your unit’s surface and screen! What to do? You can buy a generic plastic case or a film cover for the screen. But a favorite iPod case is the cutesy iPod socks. They come in six beautiful colors that I bet you can’t help but buy them all.
If you are a jet setter and hop from one place to another, you need a world travel adaptor kit or on a lesser degree, an Apple USB power adaptor. For your car, get an ipod mini 4 in 1 car kit.
There are plenty of generic brands and some named brands that manufacture accessories for the iPod. The thing is it is better to use Apple accessories for Apple products.

The processor is tagged as a little bit recent model number but it and also the GPU are most likely the same pace since the 3GS. The old Touch using the same CPU and GPU as the 3G was quicker. Besides having the clock pace turned up higher the Touch has less software to run because it is not a phone. It should do more than any iPhone to day in performance.
